Rocky & Galena
Rocky is a mosaic (white) male who is very high alpha. We were told he is approximately 5 years old. Rocky came in as part of a mass surrender where he was previously housed with both male and female chinchillas. When we sorted the males from the females, it became obvious that the other boys were quite nervous around Rocky. He is quick to dominance mount and threatened any male who stood up to him by a show of teeth. We hoped to pair him with a female after neutering.
Rocky has since been neutered and we managed to successfully pairbond him with a female from the same surrendering home. Galena is a standard gray who was exceptionally fearful of some of the other girls. We're happy that both troublemakers were able to find a friend in each other.
