Founded in 2008, our mission at Whimsy's Menagerie & Chinchilla Rescue is to provide a safe haven for unwanted, neglected, or medically fragile chinchillas. Our goal is to rehabilitate and socialize in preparation for adoption. We gladly open our doors to those interested in learning more about these unique pets. We are available for temporary foster care, education, supplies, and networking with other local rescue organizations. We also serve the community by providing in-service training for local veterinary clinics, pet stores and youth groups.

We always have chinchillas looking for new homes. Whether you're looking for just one, a pair, or want to find a friend for a chinchilla you already own, chances are they're here. Whether you're an experienced chin owner or a total newbie, we'll introduce you to chinchilla ownership and equip you with information. And all adoptions come with lifetime support if ever you have questions that are not already answered on this site.

We work closely with the local high school where we volunteer as job coaches to teach the special needs students valuable vocational skills by assembling our store items. In turn, the store funds the rescue work we provide for the chinchillas in our care. Every order helps us continue to be able to do what we do.
